Beholden Productions was established by Liesl Barrell in Montreal, Canada with a three-fold mandate:

• To produce theatre that is relevant to Third Culture Kids and expatriates.
• To explore themes relating to sufferrers of mental illness and their friends, family and caregivers.
• To incorporate new technological dimensions to theatre, and investigate innovations in new media.
